First Year Project: AGB Stars as Neutron-capture element factories

I spent my first year at UT researching the neutron-capture elementary yields of Asymptotic Giant Branch (AGB) stars by observing the spectra of planetary nebulae. Low- and intermediate-mass stars (like our own sun) spend most of their lives fusing hydrogen into helium in their cores in a region of the HR diagram called the main-sequence.
